Wendy R. Gerlach began her legal career in Boston, where she practiced corporate and tax law with Ropes & Gray. She then spent several years practicing law in Europe, with ATAG Ernst & Young (taxation and expatriate issues) and Novartis Pharma AG (business and technology law). Since moving to Portland in 1999 she has worked in business law, financial management, and estate planning. She joined Thede Culpepper Moore Munro & Silliman LLP in 2009, where she focuses on estate planning and trust administration.
Wendy is admitted to practice law in Oregon and is a member of the Estate Planning section of the Oregon State Bar.
Wendy is a graduate of Princeton University (B.A., cum laude, 1981) and the University of Washington (J.D., cum laude, 1986), where she was an editor of the Washington Law Review. She has also attended courses at the French business school INSEAD and the University of Basel, Switzerland, and speaks fluent French and German.
Wendy’s enthusiasms include hiking, reading, her family, and occasional soccer matches.
